Hey, Wanna Go Shopping?

I need to go shopping, it's been quite awhile.
My sweaters are threadbare, my pants out of style.
I'll pay what it's worth
For a fashion re-birth,
A bad ass new getup will sure make me smile!

Houston, We Have a Problem

....and I can't really go report it.

Here in the good old U S of A, all sorts of employees in all sorts of organizations are given the finest treatment, the best resources, and the statest of the state of the art equipment with which to perform their jobs.  The rest of us have to make due with what we have.

Which brings me to my dilemma:

Thanks Google.

But here's the deal, the catch, the rub, if you will...many of the applications within our network don't work in IE 8.  So I can't just upgrade.  But I can't really report the problem...because, well, I mean, do I really need to access Google Docs at work?  No.  Not one bit actually.  But maaaaaah!!!!  Someone fix it!

Giggly

He normally lies there without so much as a peep,
He catches Zzz's quick and he catches them deep,
But a smile last night
On my face did alight,
For my quiet dear snoozer was laughing in his sleep.

True story.  It was cute.

Happy Friday!

Things About this Hump Day

SNOOOOOOOW!
  • I jumped out of bed and ran to my computer to check our office status while repeating quietly with every fiber of my being "snow day snow day snow day snow day snow day..."
  • The offices were OPEN for business.  Coworkers beware:  I'm emitting very bad vibes today.  Must pull myself out of this.  Probably with hot chocolate.  mmmmm
  • I'm still wearing my awesomely comfy hiking socks...and sitting cross legged in my chair at my desk...with no shoes on.  According to me, today is not a day for workplace etiquette.
  • My walk to the metro was surprisingly pleasant.  I wish I could have stayed outside taking pictures all day.  I would have spent more time making dirty slush look artsy!
  • And my final thought for the morning:  key lime yogurt does NOTHING to squash the craving for something full of carbs and chocolate.  Or something full of carbs and salt.  Or some McDonald's french fries.  Vending machine, here I come.
